To positively channel the potentials and the abundant energies of our youths, Lagos Empowerment & Resource Network (LEARN) creates suitable environment and opportunities for over 3,000 registered students in several Lagos State districts.

LEARN has programs that will inculcate life long learning culture in our students. Our programs include:

Summer & After School Lessons: We inspire our students to tackle difficulties in their subjects by teaching them foundational subjects like Mathematics and English. This program strengthens the educational foundation of the participants.

Career Enlightenment Program: We invite seasoned professionals to address the students on various career options and how to explore them with the help of Guidance Counselors.

Open Day For Parents: We encourage the support of parents in our programs by inviting them to assess their wards’ performance attending our After School Lessons. We review and implement appropriate suggestions from parents.

What Next: We provide participants with multiple career options – vocational, technical and other - while we inspire them to pursue their innate talents and goals.

Skill Acquisition Program: We place students in the Lagos State Skills Acquisition Centers to acquire vocational training that will make them economically viable and confident. Participants will get hands-on instructions on Arts & Crafts, catering, barbing, hairdressing, event decoration.

A Time Out With The Youths: We bring youths together to freely express their inhibitions. In addition, we provide information that will assist them to make good decisions on their career and sexuality.

Excursion: We reward hard working students with visit to resort centers to motivate them and to introduce them to African culture and heritage. We encourage them to shine in their schools as good ambassadors. Past excursion had been to DN Meyer Plc, National Aviation Handling Company Plc, Nigerian Bottling Company Plc, Indomie Foods, Sweet Sensation and Honeywell Superfine Food.

Volunteer Induction: We provide a training-the-trainer program to expose our volunteers to new teaching techniques that will maximize impact of their skills on students. Volunteers also share their useful experiences.
